We never release information to anyone without first verifying from multiple sources that you have truly passed away. In addition to asking people you designate to verify your death, we require other proof such as a valid death certificate.
Machines and Humans
Since our process includes both computers and humans, it's simply not possible for a hacker to trick our computers into sending out your assets without human interventions. None of your private information is released unless a live person in our office completes the process.
Stronger Encryption
Once you store your private data with Legacy Locker, we use unique 512-bit hash keys for each user to encrypt your assets. This is a higher standard than what most online banks use. Also, coming soon we'll launch our Vault-level Security, which stores content in a way that nobody can access prior to the death reporting process.
